Putting Evidence into Practice (PEP)

Putting Evidence into Practice (PEP) is a three-day workshop offered by the Knowledge Translation Platform of the Alberta SPOR SUPPORT Unit. The workshop is intended to strengthen participants’ abilities in several key aspects of knowledge translation and knowledge synthesis.

Basic Systematic Reviews

Advanced Topics in Systematic Reviews

Rapid Reviews

Knowledge Translation in Research Projects

 

 

Workshop Format

This three-day workshop involves a combination of plenaries, small group sessions lead by experts in their topic area, and a fun, interactive session reinforcing key concepts learned during the workshop.

This year, participants will be able to choose one of four intensive streams: knowledge translation for researchers; basic systematic reviews; advanced systematic reviews; and, rapid reviews.

Small Group Sessions

Each stream will be taught by one or two PEP faculty with extensive experience in the relevant area. Over the three days, there are a total of six 2-hour sessions in the small group of your choice. Workshop Participants

Small groups will focus on methods specific to the topic at hand. Participants from all disciplines and learning levels will benefit from this workshop. For more information click here.



Workshop Materials

Participants will be provided with all materials for their small group session on a USB (flash) drive. Participants must bring a laptop or other device able to accommodate a USB drive in order to participate in the workshop.
